Frank Quattrone, Founder and CEO, Qatalyst Group
Frank Quattrone recently announced the launch of Qatalyst Group, a technology-focused merchant banking boutique, headquartered in San Francisco. Qatalyst Partners provides high-end M&A and corporate finance advice to technology companies globally. Qatalyst Capital Partners makes selective principal investments, typically alongside leading venture capital and private equity firms. Quattrone has advised technology companies globally since 1981 while building successful technology banking franchises for Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank and Credit Suisse. He has advised on the IPOs of Accenture, Amazon, Ascend Communications, Cisco, Intuit, Linear Technology, Netscape, ST Microelectronics, Synopsys, SynOptics, TiVo, VeriFone and Xilinx. He also advised on financing and M&A assignments for Adobe, Agilent, AOL, Apple, Applied Materials, Bay Networks, Cypress Semiconductor, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Intel, KLA-Tencor, National Semiconductor, Oracle, Siemens, 3Com, VeriSign and Veritas.

Jim Davidson, Co-Founder, Silver Lake
Jim Davidson is a co-founder and Chairman of the Executive Committee of Silver Lake, the leader in private investments in technology, technology-enabled, and related growth industries. Davidson has extensive merger, acquisition and financing experience in the technology sector. From 1997 to 1998, Davidson was head of the Technology Investment Banking business at Hambrecht & Quist, and from 1996 to 1997, he was head of that firm's Systems and Semiconductor Investment Banking business. Davidson was head or co-head of the firm's Mergers and Acquisitions business from 1990 to 1996. Previously, he was a director of Seagate Technology and Network General Corporation.

Gene J. Frantz, Partner, TPG, Capital
Frantz is a partner of TPG, a leading global private investment firm with over $30 billion of capital under management. Frantz specializes in the technology and telecom sectors. Prior to joining TPG in 1999, Frantz worked at Oracle, most recently leading its venture capital effort, where he was responsible for making equity investments in software and internet companies. Prior to joining Oracle, Frantz was Vice President at Morgan Stanley specializing in technology mergers and acquisitions spanning the semiconductor, data networking, software and internet sectors. Frantz serves or has served on the boards of directors of Alltel Corporation, Avaya Corporation, Freescale Semiconductor, MEMC Electronic Materials, Network General Corporation, Paradyne Networks, (now part of Zhone Technologies), Seagate Removable Storage Solutions Holdings and SMART Modular Technologies.

Neil Garfinkel, Co-founder and Partner, Francisco Partners
Neil Garfinkel is a Founding Partner of Francisco Partners, a global private equity firm making investment in technology and related services. Garfinkel focuses primarily on investments in the software and services sectors. Prior to founding Francisco Partners in 1999, Garfinkel was a Managing Director of Friedman Fleischer & Lowe, a leading San Francisco private equity firm. Previously, Garfinkel was a Vice President with Summit Partners.Garfinkel started his career as an attorney with Wilson Sonsini Goodrich and Rosati in Palo and Cravath, Swaine & Moore.
